I was supposed to have 2 cakes this weekend and they both canceled. Then, I got a call for a last-minute birthday cake - an artist's palette. Piece of cake (pun intended)!!
It all started with my oldest son's 1st birthday cake - a baseball. After a couple more (lame) attempts at some birthday cakes I realized I didn't know enough to make the cakes I wanted to be able to make. Plus, I thought it would be fun to carry on my mom's skills for my kids so they would have fun cakes like we had growing up. So, a lot of practice and two Wilton classes later, here I am making wedding cakes, birthday cakes and cakes for other special occasions.

Your cakes are amazing! I wish that I could do cakes like that. I just don't get the practice that I need. Where do you get the ideas?

Wow, that's awesome!!! See, I can make stuff, I just can't make it look pretty.
