I forgot my camera this day, but my sister (who did the decorations) was nice enough to take a picture for me. The design was copied from a picture the bride sent me.
wow Steph. That is really really beautiful! Is this the one that you wanted to do with the hexagonal cakes? Because that would have been amazing!!! I love it though with the black frosting and the bright red roses!! I bet it added so much to the overall scene. So fantastic.
It all started with my oldest son's 1st birthday cake - a baseball. After a couple more (lame) attempts at some birthday cakes I realized I didn't know enough to make the cakes I wanted to be able to make. Plus, I thought it would be fun to carry on my mom's skills for my kids so they would have fun cakes like we had growing up. So, a lot of practice and two Wilton classes later, here I am making wedding cakes, birthday cakes and cakes for other special occasions.
